As a University of Alberta Alumni, I choose to support student club activities aimed at supporting the rights, interests and viewpoints of vulnerable children and youth in our community.
We continue to support the Child Advocacy Society of the University of Alberta (CASUA) and the Herd for Help campaign in support of the Zebra Centre.
Arim Kim, Child Advocacy Society, Outreach and Awareness brings us the highlights about the annual campaign:
Herd For Help, it is a fundraising campaign hosted by the Child Advocacy Society of the University of Alberta. We raise donations for the Zebra Centre which is a support organization for children suffering from abuse.
CASUA works alongside university students and child advocacy centres to help children overcome abuse and secure a bright and safe future. Child abuse can be anything that intentionally endangers the development and/or security of a child. Abuse includes emotional abuse, neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse and online exploitation.
The Zebra Centre is made up of dedicated law enforcement, specialized assessors, medical professionals and Zebra Centre staff. The Centre brings together a community of professionals to provide a continuum of support for children throughout the entire disclosure, investigative, judicial and healing process.
The Zebra Centre serves children and youth who have been impacted by abuse, supporting them through the justice and healing process with a continuum of multi-disciplinary resources.
eLiasz and eLLa Jewelry is so proud to support the Child Advocacy Society of the University of Alberta with a $200+ CAN sponsorship in support of society fundraising.
We choose to support those that act with responsibility, empathy and compassion to keep children and youth in our communities safe. Let’s equip ourselves with the tools to recognize child abuse and speak up for our children.
We strongly encourage everyone to learn more by clicking the organization links to learn about the amazing work done by CASUA and the Zebra Child Protection Centre.
Thank you so much to everyone for supporting at-risk children and youth. You are the difference!
