Supporting Edmonton's Food Bank

eLiasz and eLLa Jewelry is proud to partner with our friends at the Edmonton Insurance Association in support of Edmonton’s Food Bank.

Edmonton's Food Bank is much more than only feeding people. It is about giving hope and creating a kinder community.

Did you know that Edmonton’s Food Bank was the first Canadian Food Bank, officially established in 1981. Read more about the humble beginnings of Edmonton’s Food Bank here: Edmonton’s Food Bank - Our Humble Beginning & Present Work.

We engaged with Lindsey Schroeder, Edmonton Insurance Association President, to learn more about her organization’s commitment to Edmonton’s Food Bank.

Here is Lindsey talking about the Association’s commitment to Edmonton’s Food Bank:

This year has been a challenge, not only for our industry and families but the economy in general which means that the Food Bank needs our help even more this year.

Due to covid restrictions we will be hosting a virtual Silent Auction through Bid Beacon like we did last year from December 6 – 9th, 2021. Last year’s auction was a great success, we raised $5000 for the Food Bank, and everyone could participate from the comfort of their own homes. 100% of the proceeds of this auction will go to the Edmonton Food Bank.

For the past 31 years we have supported the Edmonton Food Bank and since 2003 we have raised a total of $138,121 and 57,734 pounds of food through our insurance industry food bank drive. With the struggling economy, the Food Bank is being used more than ever, and we would love to continue our tradition of making a substantial contribution to this worthy cause.

eLiasz and eLLa Jewelry has sponsored a beautiful $200+ jewelry package in support of the Edmonton Insurance Association’s silent auction, happening December 7th to 9th, 2021. You can find all of the auction details as they become available here: Edmonton Insurance Association Upcoming Events page.

There will be many hard days, weeks, and months ahead for so many in our community facing food scarcity and uncertainty. We are always so proud to support people like Lindsey Schroeder and the Edmonton Insurance Association, making a difference in our community.

Thank you so much for supporting Edmonton's Food Bank!
