CAN Anti-racism Resources (June 2020)
To stand against racism, discrimination, and injustice, we must learn, understand and stand up for one another. Our e&e Team is deeply pained by the recent events of racial injustice but we also acknowledge our customers, friends, and community members experience and endure discrimination on an ongoing basis. As an independent, Canadian, small business, we do have a voice and we can create awareness and change in our own ways. By making a clear public statement about what we stand for as a company is our commitment to all.
At e&e this week, we’ve spent a lot of time speaking with our beautifully diverse group of friends, family, and business partners. We discussed diversity, inclusion, family, racism, education, accountability, community, recent and historic tragic events, acceptance, culture, and skin colour. These were the conversations that directly influenced our commitment as a company presented here.
We are not indifferent.
We are against racism.
We expect justice for everyone.
We expect accountability.
We stand against discrimination.
We stand with communities of colour.
We can do more. We will do more.
We take action that benefits our community.
Our solidarity is enduring, not fashionable.
Acceptance is harmony in difference.
Sustainable transformation. Sustainable solutions.
Amplify voices of colour.
Black Lives Matter.

Our Community Commitment
As a small business we will make a big impact in our communities.

Over the years, we’ve partnered with organizations like the Bissell Centre, Terra Centre, Operation Friendship Seniors Society Edmonton, Edmonton and Area Land Trust, MS Society of Canada and many other amazing organizations making a difference in our communities.
Our community commitment is only possible because of our wonderful customers, partners and supporters that enable us to do what we can in our own special ways.
